The Role
Working in the production environment you will be responsible for monitoring compliance in line with policies, procedures, codes of practice and product specifications. As QC Team Leader (QC-TL) you will provide customer satisfaction by ensuring that all products are safe, legal and of the highest quality standards, as instructed by the Technical manager.
Shift timings: 2pm- 10pm- 2 weeks
Shift days: Sunday- Thursday

Duties
 Preparing the ‘end of line’ area for production, ensuring machines and systems are in place.
 Regular checks of: QAS, GMP, Allergen cleaning, PPE, Chemical cleaner concentrations, Product content washouts, Due diligence paperwork is up to date.
 Verification of proper labelling conducted by QC staff.
 Undertake suitable training in a range of food safety and quality areas to enable the candidate to perform their duties.
 Training of staff, typically QC but may extend to line & hygiene staff.
 Liaising with the staff trainer and feeding back to the QA Manager regarding training need for team members in the production areas.
 Basic reporting of issues/ incidents, waste, non-conformances and other challenges in production, including quality issues seen with recommendations for improvement throughout. To be given to the TM weekly.
 Maintain and build their team.
 Ensure gluten-free integrity is maintained throughout production.
 Assist in the reduction of customer complaints by overseeing the QC process of monitoring products.
 Liaising with the staff trainer and feeding back to the Technical Manager regarding training need for team members in the production areas.
 To carry such other duties that may be reasonably requested
 Ensure production due diligence paperwork is filled in and signed of diligently.
 Ensure hourly metal detection checks are being carried out as defined by the TM.
 Business is very fast paced and is looking at someone who can take the next step to ensure product safety and quality.

KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of the food industry with a QC background.
• HACCP & food safety knowledge.
• Competent with use of a PC and capable of completing the necessary paperwork and report writing.
• You will be expected to maintain good product knowledge
